Join us for a historical journey through the atmospheric churchyard of St. Michael and All Angels’. But leave your ghost detectors at home – this tour is all about the incredible real stories of the people who shaped this village. We’ll be uncovering the fascinating lives and poignant tales of those laid to rest here, from the young soldier who never reached the front, to Haworth’s very last handloom weaver, and the woman whose dream of a new life ended tragically at sea.
This is the true spirit of Haworth, told one headstone at a time.
An Evening with the Past: Know Before You Go
To make sure you have the best experience, please come prepared. This is Yorkshire, after all!
- Keep Warm and Dry: We highly recommend dressing for the Yorkshire weather. Think warm layers, waterproof jackets, hats, and gloves.
- Sturdy Boots are a Must: We’ll be navigating old paths and uneven ground in the dark, so please wear appropriate, sturdy footwear.
- Bring a Torch: Depending on the time of year, it may be dark! A torch is essential for you to light your way and get the most out of the experience.
